Reading list we suggest to VN teams joining remote labs
Teams joining from Vietnam often ask about latency and voice clarity before they ask about SQL. We send a short prep doc covering wired headsets, display scaling for shared queries, and how to mirror only the editor pane when screen sharing.
We recommend one classic stats primer and one newer experimentation guide—and we openly tell cohorts where the books disagree. That tension becomes a week-one discussion on assumptions, not a hidden flaw.
We also include a blunt section on sleep: labs run in windows that overlap partially with Americas hours. If you cannot protect sleep, pick async tracks; we would rather reschedule than burn people out quietly.
We keep appendices short on the blog; if you need primary sources or query snippets referenced in class, ask via the contact desk with the module name in the subject line.
